Mute Project

A series of portraits of musicians worldwide who have died from the Coronavirus. Their voices have been muted.

Each piece is 8" x 10" machine embroidered on handmade papers from around the world.

There are currently around 150 portraits in this series, but I have a list of many more still to do. Here is a selection of a few of them, showing the incredible range of places they lived, genres they spanned, music they made, and different walks of life they came from. All were great, in their own ways, all are a huge loss to world culture.
