Invisible Forces
2009 • Punch Gallery, Seattle Washington
I work in a lot of different mediums, in a lot of different ways. This show was a cabinet of curiosities of
my work, a crazy quilt of metal, embroidery, crochet, paint, words, craft and drawing in pencil on the wall
late at night.
There was a large installation of empty liquor bottles wearing clothes and wigs.
There was a suite of embroideries of liquor bottles again, on the hankies I bought from the yard sale of the
estate of a 100 year old man. There were guns, underwear, japanese robots, magnets, brains, and lots of
sampled text from poetry, rap, and my own addled brain.
In short, a portrait of a 21st Century American male consumer.
Yep, I watch too much TV.
